The flowers gracing the sanctuary are given to the glory of God and in loving memory of Michael the Archangel, the patron saint of the police, by the Rev. Terry Troia.

Thanks to everyone who worked so hard to feed a sold out crowd at last night's dinner!  Thanks especially to our Co Chairs: Elder Rose Lood and Elder Pam Ander!  A job well done by all!

Next Sunday is World Communion Sunday and the beginning of our Fall Food Drive.  Please bring a can of food to share next week and each Sunday between now and Thanksgiving!!!

Consistory will meet next Sunday at 3PM.

New Morals

Jesus doesn't have any time for those who are convinced of their own righteousness or godliness.  He does show an unbelievable understanding for social outcasts who indicate their willingness to repent.  One might even think that the Bible was written expressly for the purpose of throwing out all the scruples of our well-established ethical code.

Pointing to Heaven

Church steeples, as they point upward, can be thought of as fingers directing our attention toward God.  Looking at the silhouettes of medieval European towns, a forest of steeples will point you in God's direction.  Lately, our city landscapes are a lot different, a lot more barren, a picture without reference to God.  People today only see fingers pointing to God when Christians, through what they do and say, steadfastly show that Christ is present.

Lord, Be Glorified

(Bob Kilpatrick)

In my life, Lord,
be glorified, be glorified,
In my life, Lord,
be glorified today.

In my song, Lord,
be glorified, be glorified,
In my song, Lord,
be glorified today.

In Your church, Lord,
be glorified, be glorified,
In Your church, Lord,
be glorified today.
