OUR
APPROACH TO GOD
Prelude
Introit
Welcome
Call to Worship:
Psalm 95
O come let us worship and bow down,
LET US KNEEL BEFORE THE LORD,
OUR MAKER!
For God is our God,
AND WE ARE THE PEOPLE OF GOD'S
PASTURE, THE SHEEP OF GOD'S HAND.
*Hymn 215 "Alleluia, Alleluia"
Let us be before our God in silence.
Unison Prayer: Psalm 79: 8, 13
DO NOT REMEMBER AGAINST US THE
INIQUITIES OF OUR ANCESTORS; LET YOUR COMPASSION COME TO MEET US...
THEN
WE YOUR PEOPLE, THE FLOCK OF YOUR PASTURE, WILL GIVE THANKS TO YOU
FOREVER; FROM GENERATION TO GENERATION WE WILL RECOUNT YOUR PRAISE!
LORD, HAVE MERCY ON US.
CHRIST, HAVE MERCY ON US.
LORD, HAVE MERCY ON US.
A Word of Assurance
The Summary of the Law (Mk 12: 29-31)
This is the first commandment:
HEAR O ISRAEL,
THE LORD OUR GOD,
THE LORD IS ONE!
THEREFORE
YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD
WITH ALL YOUR HEART,
WITH ALL YOUR SOUL,
WITH ALL YOUR MIND,
AND WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH.
This is the second commandment:
YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.
There is no greater commandment than these.
