Sanctuary closed
Phase One of church restoration
Thanks for the dinner!
Thanks to Elder Pam Ander and all who helped make our Congregational Advent Dinner a success!

Congregational Meeting: Sunday, December 14th
A Congregational Meeting took place on Sunday, December 14th during service. The congregation made a list of what's wrong with the world and also made a list of what the church is doing to right those wrongs. The congregation also selected two elders for a two year term: Susan Hanyen and Erik Ander, and two deacons for a two year term: Rose Lood and Marilyn Sci
arrino. A formal notice of election will be placed in the church bulletin for three consecutive weeks, starting next Sunday, December 21st.

Living Nativity: Saturday, December 20th
The Living Nativity is set for Saturday, December 20th from 4:30 PM - 7:30 PM. We will need help with costumes, refreshments, greeters and actors. Please arrive by 4 PM to help out!

Advent Bible Study: Sunday, December 21st
Rev. Terry Troia will lead Advent Bible Study after service (12:30 - 1:00 PM) next Sunday, December 21st.

Please donate to the Christmas Restoration Fund
This year the sanctuary will not be decorated because of the Restoration Project. Your donations (please use the envelope provided and place in offering plate) will be given to the Christmas Restoration Fund in lieu of fresh poinsettias and evergreens. The 2004 Offering envelopes are available. We pray you will use these envelopes faithfully and donate generously. Information on the restoration effort can be found at purl.org/net/savenurc.

Please help the day laborers by buttering rolls
The next tentatively scheduled roll buttering will take place next Sunday, December 28th after service. The buttering rolls, to help the day laborers in Bensonhurst, takes place every other Sunday at the Parish House and is a joint project with Bay Ridge United Church.

Pray for...
Anna Schroeder, who is in the hospital, and the Rev. Bob Peterson, our organist.
