Notice of Election Elected to the office of elder is: Erik Ander and Susan Hanyen. Elected to the office of deacon is: Rose Lood and Marilyn Sciarrino. And a happy & healthy New Year! Thanks to all the Christmas Eve Service participants! Thanks to all those of New Utrecht Church and Mirral Church who participated in the Festival of Lessons & Carols on Christmas Eve, Wednesday, December 24th! New Utrecht Congregational Meeting 2003 A Congregational Meeting took place on Sunday, December 14th during service. The congregation made a list of what's wrong with the world and also made a list of what the church is doing to right those wrongs. The congregation also selected two elders for a two year term: Susan Hanyen and Erik Ander, and two deacons for a two year term: Rose Lood and Marilyn Sciarrino. A formal notice of election was placed in the church bulletin for three consecutive weeks, starting next Sunday, December 21st. Please donate to the Christmas Restoration Fund This year the sanctuary will not be decorated because of the Restoration Project. Your donations (please use the envelope provided and place in offering plate) will be given to the Christmas Restoration Fund in lieu of fresh poinsettias and evergreens. The 2004 Offering envelopes are available. We pray you will use these envelopes faithfully and donate generously. Information on the restoration effort can be found at purl.org/net/savenurc. Please help the day laborers by buttering rolls The next tentatively scheduled roll buttering will take place on Sunday, January 11th after service. The buttering rolls, to help the day laborers in Bensonhurst, takes place every other Sunday at the Parish House and is a joint project with Bay Ridge United Church. Pray for... Anna Schroeder, who is in the hospital, and the Rev. Bob Peterson, our organist. |
