Sunday, April 25th: Earth Day Sunday
Today we celebrate Earth Day Sunday! Join us at 11 AM for service &
bush planting afterwards! Neighborhood children are especially welcomed to
participate! We need you!!!
Rev. Bob Peterson returns to New Utrecht
The Rev. Bob Peterson, our organist, returned to New Utrecht on Easter Sunday,
April 11th but will not lead the choir any time soon. Bob Peterson was active
as choir director until last December. We are glad to have him back after his
stay in California! Let us pray for his return as choir director.
Ongoing Food Drive started
Deacon Debbie Siciargo has started a ongoing Food Drive. Please buy a little
extra of nonperishable food for the needy and bring the items to the collection
basket at the Parish House before service.
Please help the Bensonhurst Volunteer
Ambulance Service
Just as our church needs funds to repair the sanctuary, the Bensonhurst
Volunteer Ambulance Service also needs funds. New Utrecht
Reformed Church is trying to raise $200 for BVAS. Donations of $5-10
are appreciated. Please see a consistory member after next Sunday's
service.
July 22 - 24, 2004: RCA Women's
Triennial
On July 22 - 24, 2004, the RCA Women's Triennial - a
Celebration of Faith for Women will take place at the Crystal Cathedral in
Garden Grove, CA. The theme for 2004 is "Let Us Encourage One Another" (Hebrews
10:23-25).

Please help the
day laborers by buttering rolls
The next tentatively scheduled roll
buttering will take place next Sunday, May 2nd after service. The
buttering rolls, to help the day laborers in Bensonhurst, takes place
every other Sunday at the Parish House and is a joint project with Bay
Ridge United Church.
Pray for...
Anna Schroeder, who is in the hospital and
the Rev. Bob Peterson, our organist,
who suffers from Parkinson's Disease.
