OUR APPROACH TO GOD

Arise, shine! For your light has come!
THE GLORY OF THE LORD HAS RISEN UPON US!
For darkness covered the earth,
AND THICK DARKNESS THE PEOPLES;
But the Lord will arise upon you.
AND GOD'S GLORY WILL APPEAR OVER US.
Nations shall come to your light,
AND KINGS TO THE BRIGHTNESS OF YOUR DAWN.
Lift up your eyes, look around;
THEY ALL GATHER TOGETHER, THEY ALL COME TO GOD!

Let us be before our God in silence.

WITH MY WHOLE HEART I CRY; ANSWER ME, O LORD. I WILL KEEP YOUR STATUES. I CRY TO YOU; SAVE ME, THAT I MAY OBSERVE YOUR DECREES. I RISE BEFORE DAWN AND CRY FOR HELP; I PUT MY HOPE IN YOUR WORDS.
