Fourth Sunday of Easter
OUR APPROACH TO GOD
Prelude
Introit ‘There’s Something About that Name” W. Gaither
Welcome
Call to Worship: Psalm 95
O come let us worship. Let us bow down before Him.
LET US KNEEL BEFORE THE LORD OUR MAKER
For God is our God.
AND WE ARE THE PEOPLE OF HIS PASTURE, THE SHEEP OF HIS HAND.
*Hymn insert 730 “My Shepherd Will Supply My Need”
Let us be before our God in silence.
Unison Prayer: T. S. Elliot
WE THANK THEE FOR THE LIGHT THAT IS DAPPLED WITH SHADOW. WE THANK THEE WHO HAS MOVED US TO BUILDING, TO FINDING, TO FORMING AT THE ENDS OF OUR FINGERS AND BEAMS OF OUR EYES. AND WHEN WE HAVE BUILT AN ALTAR TO THE INVISIBLE LIGHT, WE MAY SET THEREON THE LITTLE LIGHTS FOR WHICH OUR BODILY VISION IS MADE. AND WE THANK THEE THAT DARKNESS REMINDS US OF LIGHT. O LIGHT INVISIBLE, WE GIVE THEE THANKS FOR THY GREAT GLORY!
Kyrie (sung)
LORD HAVE MERCY UPON US.
CHRIST HAVE MERCY UPON US.
LORD HAVE MERCY UPON US.
