July 4-September 5: Guest preachers
From July 4 (Independence Day) to September 5 (Labor Day weekend) guest
preachers will take the place of the minister, Rev. Terry Troia, who will be
away this summer. Details are on the service
page.
Extra envelopes for the Restoration Fund
Extra envelopes will be provided for the New Utrecht Reformed Church Restoration
Fund at each Sunday service. Please contribute generously.
Ongoing Food Drive
Deacon Debbie Siciargo has started a ongoing Food Drive. The donations are
somewhat less than expected. Please buy a little
extra of nonperishable food for the needy and bring the items to the collection
basket at the Parish House before service.
Tuesday, September 7: Consistory Meeting
Saturday, September 11: Memorial with lights and patriotic music
On Saturday, September 11th between 7 and 9:30 PM, New Utrecht Church will
hold a memorial with lights and patriotic music on the church lawn, sponsored by
Maria Campanella. Details

Saturday, September 18:
Church Family Supper in the Parish House
A fund raising event for the restoration of our church. Marilyn Sciarrino is the
coordinator.
Sunday, October 17: Commission of our Rev. Terry
Troia
On Sunday, October 17 at 3 PM, New Utrecht Reformed Church will be commemorating
the Rev. Terry Troia's 10th anniversary as minister of this church. A journal
will be available for this event, which will benefit the New Utrecht Reformed
Church Restoration Fund. Erik Ander is the
coordinator for the journal.
Please help the
day laborers by buttering rolls The next tentatively scheduled roll buttering will take place on Sunday,
September 19 after service. The
buttering rolls, to help the day laborers in Bensonhurst, takes place
every other Sunday at the Parish House and is a joint project with
Bay
Ridge United Church.
Pray for... Jack Burbach's son, who passed away; Al Deleo, who died July 10;
Alice Hightower; Marion Hodgman who is seriously ill; Fr. Jack Ryan's mother; Anna Schroeder, who is back home from the hospital; the Rev. Bob Peterson, our organist,
who suffers from Parkinson's Disease and former president
Ronald Reagan
and Fran Erickson's mother, who both died Saturday, June 5.
