 | |   Church held a special
      collection for tsunami victims
New Utrecht Reformed Church held a special collection on Sunday, January 9 for the victims of the Dec. 26, 2004
tsunami that swept across 15 countries in Asia and Africa. The church raised $1,000, which will be sent to Reformed Church World Service.
In addition to Sunday's collection, the following resources are available to help the millions of victims of the tsunami, from RCA.ORG:
          You can help by:
            1. Praying for the survivors and the staff helping with the recovery. 2. Contributing to the "Asian Tsunami" fund established by RCWS. Money will be needed for many years to support emergency relief and long-term rebuilding and recovery efforts. Contributions designated for "Asian Tsunami" may be sent to Reformed Church in America, P.O. Box 19381, Newark, NJ 07195-1938 or, in Canada, to Regional Synod of Canada, RR #4, Cambridge, ON N1R 5S5. To make a credit card donation (Visa or MasterCard), call the Michigan Regional Center at (800)968-3943, ext. 210, or click on "Make a Donation." 3. Assembling "Gift of the Heart" health kits that are urgently needed in the CWS warehouse in New Windsor, Maryland, for shipment as requested by partners in the twelve countries affected by the Asian tsunami. Thank you for your cards, letters, contributions, and prayers. We are grateful for your partnership as we respond to this terrible tragedy. Resources

English - Korean Ash Wednesday serviceBecause the Rev. Terry Troia's mother was in a
car accident, Terry did not jointly minister at the service with the
Rev. Young Min Kim, pastor of the Mirral Church, so he ministered alone
and he and Elder Susan Hanyen, the Vice-President of the consistory at
New Utrecht Reformed Church, distributed the ashes.
