Thank you!
To Maria Campanella, the Ice Cream Girl, for holding a Memorial Concert in front of our church on 9/11.  She produced a fine concert with patriotic songs and helped raise funds to restore our church.

Our thanks to everyone who made Saturday's participation in the Columbus Day Parade and the reception following a wonderful success!

Special thanks to Rose Lood!

Ice Cream Girl receives Liberty Medal
Maria Campanella, the Ice Cream Girl who held a 9/11 memorial concert on the lawn of New Utrecht Church, won the Lifetime Achievement Medal, a Liberty Medal sponsored by the New York Post.

Campanella, who among other things is MADD Brooklyn coordinator, who raises a "community garden" along the Belt Parkway and at one time saved a man's life, raised hundreds of dollars on behalf of Friends of Historic New Utrecht at the 9/11 concert.

Extra envelopes for the Restoration Fund
Extra envelopes will be provided for the New Utrecht Reformed Church Restoration Fund at each Sunday service. Please contribute generously.

Ongoing food drive
Deacon Debbie Siciargo has started a ongoing Food Drive. The donations are somewhat less than expected. Please buy a little extra of nonperishable food for the needy and bring the items to the collection basket at the Parish House before service.

Please help the day laborers by buttering rolls
The next tentatively scheduled roll buttering has yet to be scheduled. The buttering rolls, to help the day laborers in Bensonhurst, takes place every other Sunday at the Parish House and is a joint project with Bay Ridge United Church.

Pray for...
Al Deleo, who died July 10;
Alice Hightower;
Marion Hodgman who is seriously ill;
Rose Lood;
Fr. Jack Ryan's mother;
Anna Schroeder, who is back home from the hospital;
Debbie Siciargo and
the Rev. Bob Peterson, our organist, who suffers from Parkinson's Disease.
